AD Getting Rest

According to Vikings HC Brad Childress, RB Adrian Peterson was missing from practice on Thursday because he was getting rest.

"He is trying to get his body to feel better going into Sunday," Childress said. He should be able to run wild against the Jaguars Defense. But hopefully the team will keep feeding him the ball from beginning to end. AD started off hot against the Buccaneers last weekend, but was quiet in the second half.

Westbrook Sits Again

Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (ankle) sat out of another practice on Thursday.

Westbrook has everything going against him, including a bad matchup against a good Ravens run defense and not being close to 100 percent. If Westbrook misses practice again on Friday, we don't expect him to be active on gameday. RB Correll Buckhalter doesn't have that great of a matchup.

Burress Dealing With Hamstring

Giants WR Plaxico Burress sat out of Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury.

"We'll see" was the only thing HC Tom Coughlin could come up with when asked if Burress will play against the Cardinals. If he misses practice on Friday, Burress' chances of playing could be slim. WR Domenik Hixon will start if Burress is out.

Morgan Out For Awhile

According to 49ers OC Mike Martz, WR Josh Morgan will be out awhile with a groin injury.

"That was a pretty significant injury," Martz said. "I'm not sure we're going to get him back in the near future." WR Bryant Johnson has been starting, but is nothing more than a WR3 in the right matchups. Morgan may be done for the season if it's a tear.

Winslow Very Questionable

Despite not practicing on Thursday, Browns HC Romeo Crennel would not rule out TE Kellen Winslow against the Texans.

Winslow has been dealing with a shoulder injury and hasn't practiced yet this week. If he is out again on Friday, it's going to be hard to see the team starting him. But he has played through pain in the past.

Jones' Season Done

The Cowboys are expected to place RB Felix Jones on injured reserve because of his toe.

Jones is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left toe. Somehow the injury occured while Jones was rehabbing from a hamstring tear. RB Tashard Choice will be the backup for the rest of the year, but Jones is still a player to hold if you have RB Marion Barber in all dynasty and keeper leagues.

Jacobs Practices

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) was taking snaps with the first-string offense on Thursday.

It's a good sign going into the weekend, but a "limited" label might not appease the minds of owners who are counting on Jacobs starting against the Cardinals. We should have a better idea on Jacobs' fate by Friday evening.

Jordan Not Practicing Still

Dealing with a calf injury, Patriots RB LaMont Jordan did not practice for the second straight day on Thursday.

This was such a wasted pickup for the Patriots, who were a bit desperate at the time. With BenJarvus Green-Ellis making his presence felt in the offense, the team should release Jordan next offseason.

Law To Start Against Titans

Jets DB Ty Law is expected to get the start against the Titans this weekend.

Law looked good last weekend, playing in 60 snaps against the Patriots and finishing with three tackles. He could be someone to look at in most IDP leagues. He still might have some gas left in the tank.

Even More Ocho News

There is now news that the Bengals deactivated WR Chad Johnson against the Steelers because he overslept and was late for a team meeting.

There was earlier news that Ocho got into a fight with someone else in the organization, but that incident isn't being reported in this article. Ocho reportedly begged HC Marvis Lewis to let him play, but he didn't. At least now owners don't have to dread starting him.
